The Great Escape Mustang Sanctuary (GEMS), the Mustang Heritage Foundation (MHF) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have partnered together to bring Colorado and nearby areas a convenient pickup location.
We are Colorado’s first Storefront location for the Trainer Incentive Program (TIP) as well as youth trainers, making these programs more convenient and successful here in Colorado and neighboring states.
The Mustang Heritage Foundation created the TIP Program to bridge the gap between potential adopters and American Mustangs housed at Bureau of Land Management facilities. The Mustang Heritage Foundation is looking for talented trainers who employ natural horsemanship techniques to gentle American Mustangs. Trainers, this is your chance to become a part of the solution!
The BLM Holding Facility located in Canon City, CO has closed its adoption corrals, therefore, we will begin pulling TIP eligible horses from other BLM corral locations, including California and Nevada. We will visit these facilities, take photos and keep an updated album of available horses. Once this is underway, there will be a live link here. Thank you for your patience during this transition and check back in with us for updates.
