Join Jessica for an amazing weekend of horsemanship on the trails at GEMS. You’ll first learn some basic tools and techniques in the arena. Then apply them with two days of riding on the 900 acres of private sanctuary land. You’ll focus on building rider confidence, building horse confidence, and building clear communication between horse and rider. You’ll work on common trail problems by setting up real life trail situations…water crossing, bridges, hikers/joggers, bicycles, natural and man-made obstacles. You’ll explore ways to help horses who rush, jig, spook, get buddy sour or barn sour, grass dive, etc. All breeds and disciplines welcome! Bring your green horse, inexperienced horse, problem horse, or trusty trail horse…we’ll have lots of learning for everyone! Make it an all-inclusive weekend and stay Friday and Saturday overnight in the GEMS amazing eco-cabins with catered meals included.
